I can’t even
My name is Boglarka Balogh, I’m a 34-year-old Hungarian journalist who travels the world and writes about human rights issues.
And yet somehow she has remained entirely desensitized to why this is a bad idea.
In my new work I was inspired with the idea of transforming a natural photo of myself into 7 different African tribes with the help of a graphic designer, Csaba Szabo.
Except she didn’t morph herself into “7 different tribes” she morphed her face into the faces of other individuals. And why?
My inspiration came from my time spent in various African countries where I became fully aware of the issues regarding a number of endangered tribes, and the speed at which they are fading away. These stunning portraits show how beauty varies across the globe and prove that all of us are beautiful in a different way. They’re celebrating stunning tribal beauties at the brink of extinction. “These stunning portraits show how beauty varies across the globe and prove that all of us are beautiful in a different way.” Because we can see somebody else is beautiful only if we morph their faces with those of a white / blonde woman.
Her justification doesn’t even make any sense. Why not just show their faces?
